The Tarka Leisure Centre is location at the Seven Brethren Bank in Barnstaple.
Travelling by car?
From the A39 (Atlantic Highway) follow directions for A361 Ilfracombe. At the roundabout (Barn Henge), take a right turn heading into Barnstaple town centre (A3125).
Once passed the Asda supermarket on the left-and side, move into the left hand lane ready to take the first exit from the upcoming roundabout.
This exit takes you onto Sticklepath Terrace where you need to immediately move to the right hand lane, ready to take the next right turn.
After the turn continue straight on until you see the Seven Brethren car park to your left. The road bends to the right just after the entrance to the car park, but you need to continue straight on (which is effectively a left turn off the road). The new leisure centre and leisure centre car park is at the bottom of the road. Private Health Professionals is located within the Tarka Leisure Centre, please enter through the main entrance and follow the signs for Tarka Tennis. We are located just through the double doors.
Travelling by public transport
To find bus times, please the Stagecoach website and enter your location to find your nearest bus stop, then enter Barnstaple Train Station as your destination.
The Tarka Line train service runs between Exeter and Barnstaple. To find times and book tickets for the train, please visit the South Western Railway website.
Once you arrive at the bus / train station, head towards the Tesco supermarket and follow the pavement all the way around the store.
Continue along, heading towards the recycling centre. At the end of the road, on the left-hand side is the car park for the leisure centre. The walk should take around 10 minutes.
Disability access
Our clinic is situated within the Tarka Leisure Centre in Barnstaple. There is a public car park directly outside the centre with disabled parking spaces. All our treatment rooms have wheelchair access and we have disabled toilet facilities on site.
