Joanna Copp is a fully registered, Chartered Physiotherapist, with over 15 years experience in musculoskeletal injuries, sports rehabilitation, post-surgical rehabilitation, pre/post-natal and elderly care.
Joanna’s professional experience speaks for itself. She graduated with a high class physiotherapy honours degree from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 2001. In 2003 she moved to New Zealand due to work opportunities, a country often considered at the forefront of Physiotherapy practice. She completed the MCEP programme over two years, a post graduate level course, internationally recognised and accredited by the New Zealand College of Medicine. This provided Joanna the opportunity to enhance her ability to diagnose and manage patients with disorders of the musculoskeletal system, using a wide range of techniques, drawn from the world’s leading manipulative specialists.
Whilst in New Zealand, Joanna worked for a high profile clinic, treating elite sportsmen/women, people from every sector of society and even the Prime Ministers husband! She was also contracted to a Traumatic Brain Injury team, working closely alongside maxofacial/orthopaedic surgeons to rehabilitate patients after severe and multiple musculoskeletal injuries.
Joanna is therefore very confident in delivering a high level of care due to her extensive knowledge and experience. She believes treating the entire body, using effective ‘hands-on’ up to date techniques, combined with exercise prescription, to be the key to successful rehabilitation.
Joanna moved back to Devon in 2011 with her family. More recently she has worked with British Olympic athletes, professional golfers and immensely enjoyed bringing high class care to all ranges and sectors of society.
