Tim Hill

Level 5 Sports Therapy

Role: Sports Therapist

Tim is a Level 5 Sports Therapist who has worked in the fitness industry as a Personal Trainer since 2005, working as part of multidisciplinary teams at practices such as The Berkeley Centre and The Jonathan Webb Clinic in Bristol.

Colleagues describe Tim as professional with a good range of skills, a sunny personality and a ‘can-do’ attitude. They would have no hesitation referring patients to his care with full confidence that he will perform an excellent job.

Tim’s approach

Tim’s approach is to identify strength and flexibility imbalances that have potential to cause injury, utilising sports massage techniques to improve range of movement as required and by prescribing nutritional advice plus exercises with progressive overload to achieve the best results. Tim works with a broad range of people across a variety of sports, as well as working with individuals to improve their posture by addressing problems associated with sedentary and physical jobs.

He has a thirst for keeping his knowledge up to date and has recently enjoyed researching evidence that cause some individuals to disproportionately gain weight as they age, with the aim of reducing the risk of health problems associated with obesity, exploring topics such as hormonal changes, sleep, exercise, alcohol and nutrition.

Tim can help you with the following

  • Strength and Sports Massage to combat typical overuse injuries for sports such as triathlon etc.
  • Exercise and nutritional advice for weight loss, building muscle and increasing strength
  • Exercises and stretching to improve posture
  • Strength and flexibility pre/post Surgery

Personal

When Tim is not working, he enjoys spending time with his children as well as strength training, running, surfing, mountain biking, skiing, kung-fu and coaching grass roots football.
