Having completed her Bachelor’s degree in social sciences in Canada, Fiona returned to the UK in 1997 to pursue her career in naturopathic medicine.
Having qualified as a remedial massage therapist in 2003, she undertook a 4 year training course with the College of Naturopathic Medicine and graduated as a nutritionist & naturopath in 2008.
Fiona’s clinical experience over the past 17 years has been gained in a number of multidisciplinary practices, working alongside experts in both complementary and conventional medical services to deliver the best possible outcomes for those seeking a more holistic and solution-based approach to their healthcare concerns.
In partnership with Genova Diagnostics and other respected laboratories worldwide, Fiona is able to help clients get to the root of their problems and really understand what is required to feel better today, prevent disease tomorrow, and get more out of life.
Gut health, body composition and shape, and problems with sleep and energy levels are Fiona’s key areas of interest. Her approach is compassionate, sensible and practical, so that her clients can understand exactly how any recommendations will serve their desired outcomes. Fiona’s step by step approach provides ‘breathing room’ for changes so they can be implemented at a manageable pace and empower her clients fully in their journey towards better health.
Fiona’s passion for communication and spreading the positive word about balanced food & lifestyle choices has led to her being selected as a broadcaster for Sky News and BBC Radio Bristol since 2015, as well as being featured and consulted in a number of national and international publications. She also serves as a guest lecturer for students of Medicine at Bristol University and as Director of Studies (and lecturer for final year students) for the College of Naturopathic Medicine.
Fiona is fortunate and proud to have become a mother at the age of 42 to a beautiful daughter. She currently lives in Somerset with her family.
Fiona is described as friendly and open, and entirely non-judgemental in her approach to client care. She is committed to designing a step by step plan to empower her clients to make changes at a pace which will sustain them in the longer term.
