I have been a doctor for 17 years and GP principal for 8 years
I am a GP with a background in emergency care and interests in teaching, acupuncture, minor surgery, therapeutic injections, sports & exercise medicine and acute & emergency medicine.
I have been a doctor for 17 years and GP principal for 8 years in a very successful North Devon practice, holding the Quality Practice Award from the Royal College of General Practitioners, rated Good by 97% of patients in the 2016 national GP Patients Survey (the highest result for North Devon and Torridge) and rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission.
In late 2016 I changed to a portfolio career. I continue to work in traditional general practice and out-of-hours primary care along with private general practice. In addition I work for the Emergency Department, Cardiology Department and the Medical Admissions Unit Ambulatory Care Clinic of North Devon Foundation Trust Hospital where I also have a strategic role in the Unscheduled Care Division. I also conduct appraisals of GPs for NHS England and I am a teacher/ facilitator for medical students at the University of Exeter Medical School and previously the Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry.
