Dr Murphy is an established and experienced Clinical Psychology professional
For over 20 years, Dr Elizabeth Murphy has worked extensively with people who are trying to manage a wide range of psychological symptoms and stressors which include depression, anxiety, addition and relationship issues.
Her breadth of training and experience, and her understanding that everyone has a different take on life, means she is able to adapt therapy to suit individual needs and goals. She has a realistic, curious and compassionate therapeutic style borne out of her long service with the NHS.
Dr Murphy uses evidence-based models of treatment (psychodynamic, CBT – cognitive behavioural therapy, DBT – dialectical behaviour therapy, compassion-focused and trauma-based treatment including EMDR – eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing) to formulate and provide a collaborative treatment plan.
