Dr Murphy is an established and experienced Clinical Psychology professional
For over 20 years, Dr Elizabeth Murphy has worked extensively with people who are trying to manage a wide range of psychological symptoms and stressors which include depression, anxiety, childhood and current traumas, addiction and relationship issues.
Her breadth of training and experience, and her understanding that everyone has a different take on life, means she is able to adapt therapy to suit individual needs and goals. She has a realistic, curious and compassionate therapeutic style borne out of her long service with the NHS.
Dr Murphy uses evidence-based models of treatment (psychodynamic, CBT – cognitive behavioural therapy, DBT – dialectical behaviour therapy, compassion-focused and trauma-based treatment including EMDR – eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing) to formulate and provide a collaborative treatment plan.
